Free ATM Withdrawals in Croatia: ATMs Zagreb & Split
This is a guide to choosing which banks offer free ATM cash withdrawals in Croatia. Sometimes it’s not possible in certain places, so I’m including details of cash withdrawal fees for the various ATMs.

I’ve used free ATMs in various Croatian cities, including the capital, Zagreb, and Split, a popular destination. Overall, I found a few options for free ATM withdrawals with my Revolut Visa card in Croatia.
Is Cash Important in Croatia
Despite what people on forums say, cash is still king and essential in some instances. Many bars, restaurants, and shops only accept cash payments in euros, so having some is pretty important. Also, paying on board buses and trains seems to be a mostly cash-only affair.

For some accommodation booked in advance, they also wanted payment in cash on arrival. This often meant a few trips to the ATM.
Free ATMs in Croatia And Other Fees
I’ve spent many months in Croatia and have pulled my hair out at the lack of free ATMs available. I usually bite the bullet and withdraw a month’s worth of euros at a time to avoid paying 4-5 euros in fees per withdrawal. When in Rijeka, I tried most ATM options and couldn’t find many that didn’t charge; it was the same during our month in Mali Losinj. While in Croatia in 2024, I retested these ATMs to confirm they were still free. Sadly, Agram Banka now has a fee since this visit.
Istarska Kreditna Banka

A free ATM I found in Rijeka in Croatia was Istarska Kreditna Banka. I’ve not seen many of these about but was happy to find it for this withdrawal. You can find their locations on their website. I have tried this ATM in Rijeka in 2024 and still have no charges; however, the Pula branch charged me 4.75 euros. The only downside is the maximum withdrawal of 130 euros per time.
Agram Banka
It took me a while, but during my visit to Osijek, I found that Agram Banka offered free ATM withdrawals with my Revolut VISA card. However, a subsequent test in Rijeka revealed they now charge 4.75 euros. Agram Banka has branches in many cities in Croatia, including Osijek, Zagreb, Split, Zadar and Dubrovnik. They have a handy map of their ATM locations on their website.
KentBank

Another free ATM that I found was at KentBank in Pula. I withdrew 100 euros, and that’s what showed on my bank statement. KentBank has branches throughout Croatia, including in Dubrovnik, Sibenik, Split and Zagreb. You can find the locations on a handy page on their website. In 2026, I tried both their Zagreb and Split branches, and the prices were still the same.
Imex Banka

Another ATM in Zagreb where I withdrew euros with no fee is Imex Banka, one I’ve not tried before. This was near the theatre in the city centre. They have a few branches in the Croatian capital and in other cities. You can find their locations on their website.
