Best Bars & Restaurants in Lake Bled that Are Dog-Friendly
We found plenty of bar and restaurant options in both Lake Bled and Spodnje Gorje, which kept us refreshed. You’ll find everything from small local bars to fancier restaurants. A variety of food types are available, from Slovenian dishes to some more international options.
Best Bars & Restaurants at Lake Bled
These are some of my favourite bars and restaurants we visited in the Lake Bled area of Slovenia. Most of these were dog-friendly.
Gostilna Fortuna: A Fantastic Restaurant

Gostilna Fortuna is a lovely dog-friendly restaurant in Spodnje Gorje with both indoor and outdoor seating. The owner is a friendly lady who cooks delicious local cuisine. We visited the Gostilna Fortuna a few times on our holiday in the area, and the food was consistently good and hearty.

On our first visit, we enjoyed a variety of dishes from their menu, including some local venison salami and some nice mushroom soup for starters. For our main courses, we enjoyed pork medallions in mustard sauce with wild garlic, potatoes and some smoked trout with horseradish.

On a later visit, we enjoyed their mixed grill platter for two, followed by cottage cheese dumplings. All meals were delicious, washed down with local craft beer from the Crazy Duck Brewery, and the service was excellent.
Labod Bar: A Friendly Place in Spodnje Gorje

We found a very cheap neighbourhood bar near our holiday accommodation in Spodnje Gorje called Labod. It’s one of those lucky finds, as it’s not on Google Maps. It is pretty close to the local church, though. We found the beer to be very good value here, and the locals were all friendly. We had some great evenings out here and became friendly with some locals. Henry was made very welcome, too, and they were completely dog-friendly.
Restavracija Camping Bled

While exploring the lake area, you’ll find several places to stop for refreshments. One of my favourites at the west end of the lake is Restavracija Camping Bled. Restavracija Camping Bled is at the west end of the lake, right next to the campsite and beach, and is a short walk from the walkway near the island.

They have a lovely outdoor seating area and are very dog-friendly. On our visit, they gave Henry water and some fuss. Other visitors were also dining with their pets. They had a variety of beer options, including Paulaner, a fantastic German beer. Restavracija Camping Bled also serves food, including pizzas, cevapi, burgers and desserts.
Art Cafe

Near the park in the town is Art Cafe, one of my favourite places for a relaxing drink. Art Cafe has both indoor and outdoor seating, and both areas are rather comfy. This made it a great place to hang out, and they were also dog-friendly.

I enjoyed a few beers here and found the local Slovenian beers among the cheapest in the touristy area. The staff were fantastic too, and even charged my phone when it unfortunately ran out of battery while I was taking photos.
Kava Bar Hlapon

A popular place for hikers and cyclists is Kava Bar Hlapon. Kava Bar Hlapon is right next to Bled Jezero railway station and is a short walk from the bank of the river. They are dog-friendly, and many customers visit with their dogs. Their main offerings are beer and coffee; however, their food menu consists only of pizza. We tried the local beers and a fancy iced coffee.
Devil Cafe Bar

Another dog-friendly place near the centre of Bled is Devil Cafe Bar. Devil Cafe Bar overlooks the lake and has splendid views from their terrace and other outdoor seats.

They serve a variety of drinks, including a coffee menu, nice beers (including Sirter, an Austrian option), and cocktails. They also serve food here. We tried one of their pizzas, which was nice and served promptly.
