Holiday Accommodation Mali Losinj, Apartments & Hotels
Mali Losinj offers lots of great holiday accommodation options, including hotels and apartments. We found some exclusive resort hotels, glamping sites and budget-friendly apartments. However, budget backpacking meant that we chose the cheap options for our many months on the island. Mali Losinj is a wonderful holiday destination and has earned the moniker “the Island of Vitality” for excellent reasons.

While on holiday in Mali Losinj, we saw and visited some of the island’s luxury hotels, mostly to enjoy their bars and restaurants, so we got a good feel for the places. This includes the posh hotels Bellevue and Hotel Aurora.
Another holiday accommodation option is the island’s various campsites. We visited the main campsites on Losinj Island and used their beaches, bars and other facilities. My favourite was the expansive site at Cikat Bay.

These are the holiday apartments in Mali Losinj that we enjoyed staying in on our many visits to the island. Most of these were dog-friendly but great places to stay for anyone. The best place to find hotel and apartment options is the Booking.com website.
Apartments Jovic a Great Place To Stay

One of our favourite places to stay in Mali Losinj is Apartments Jovic. Apartments Jovic is pretty centrally located and easy to reach from the harbour and beaches. We have spent over 15 weeks staying at these apartments while on holiday.
They have some lovely studios that are fully equipped for cooking. These include 2-ring hobs, plus a variety of pans and cooking utensils. Apartments Jovic also has a shared barbecue in their garden, which is nice. They also have a balcony or a terrace, depending on which floor your apartment is.
These are ideal for sitting out and enjoying the pleasant weather. Their beds are comfy, and everything works. As a bonus, the host was lovely, which made the stay even better.
Guest House Palma

Guesthouse Palma is a lovely dog-friendly place to stay in Mali Losinj, just a 15-minute walk from the harbour and the closest beach. On arrival, it is quite a trek if you have a lot of luggage. It is all uphill along narrow cobbled streets.
This is a small studio apartment with a double bed, bathroom, and a basic kitchen. The rooms have air conditioning, which is great when it’s hot during the peak holiday season.

They also have a shared patio with tables. We found this ideal for eating or getting the laptop out. Overall, staying at Guest House Palma was a great experience, made even better by the lovely host.
Guest House Lara

Another place we stayed while on holiday in Mali Losinj was Guest House Lara. Guest House Lara is to the north of the town, near the main road to the mainland. It’s a bit of a trek when arriving by ferry. However, it’s pretty walkable and mostly flat. There are a few things locally, like restaurants; however, it is essentially very quiet.

The bedrooms were pleasant and had balconies with sea views. In addition to the apartment bedroom and bathroom, they had a shared kitchen and dining area on the front balcony.

We visited at the same time as another pet owner, which Henry enjoyed, having someone to communicate with. The area nearby was great for dog walking, especially early or late in the day. Overall, Guest House Lara is a good choice if you don’t mind walking to the town centre.
Camping Village Poljana

A lovely place we discovered was Camping Village Poljana, to the north of the town. It’s a campsite with a beach, a bar, and a restaurant. As a bonus, they are pet-friendly, and many visitors stayed with their dogs.

We didn’t stay at the campsite; however, we visited their restaurant frequently for meals and drinks. Their beach was nice to visit too and great for swimming. The campsite also has a launderette and shower facilities for campers.
Overall, it was a great place to visit for the beach and bars. I imagine it would be a great place for a camping holiday on Losinj.
Cikat Camping

A popular place to stay is Cikat Camping on the east coast of Losinj Island. It is a massive camping village in the forest. They have loads of facilities and fun activities, especially for family holidays. You can rent chalets for groups or bring your own tent or camper van.

Cikat Camping also has its own beaches, plus various campsite restaurants and shops. Even if not staying, you can wander through and enjoy the campsite’s features.
Bellevue Hotel

Bellevue Hotel is one of the luxury resort hotels in Mali Losinj. It looks over the picturesque Cikat Bay and has a private beach with table service. We haven’t stayed, but we had a good mooch around the hotel facilities. It looks like a dream destination if you love luxury hotels and have the budget for these things. You can find out more about their rooms and facilities on the Booking.com website.
From the harbour, Hotel Bellevue is a bit of a hike, but it’s rather nice and pretty flat. The hotel is next to the famous villas built by the Austrian aristocracy. However, if you can afford to stay here, the taxi fare won’t dent your budget.
We visited the Bellevue beach bar for a beer and to sit on their private beach loungers. It was a pricey place, but lovely for one drink. We later learned from the server that the beach area is for hotel guests only. The server found it hilarious that we’d circumvented their nonexistent security to keep the riffraff out. The hotel looked nice; however, it was well beyond my budget.
Villa Kredo
If you fancy some luxury accommodation for your visit to Losinj Island, you can stay at Villa Kredo in Cikat Bay. Villa Kredo is the former villa of an Austrian doctor and is now a B&B. It is a great place to stay near the beach, with easy access to the forest for cycling or hiking. They have a range of room options, including those with sea views and air conditioning. You can find out about their place on the Booking.com website.
