Cafes & Bars in Mali Losinj for Daytime Drinks & Nightlife

There are lots of bars and cafes throughout Mali Losinj, which are perfect for daytime drinks. Some are even open late at night, which makes up the island’s nightlife scene. Most have outside seating; thus, we found the bar scene in Mali Losinj to be dog-friendly.

We have enjoyed a few months in Mali Losinj, with beers during the day and some pleasant nights out. In addition to nice bars, Mali Losinj has some top restaurants to enhance your trip.

The island is not renowned for its nightlife. However, there is plenty going on in the evenings. We have enjoyed various live bands, concerts, and festivals while staying on the island.

Fast Food Piccolo Paradiso: A Fantastic Daytime Bar With Views

Overlooking Mali Losinj harbour is Fast Food Piccolo Paradiso, one of the best value places for a drink on the waterfront. They serve Croatian beer, excellent coffee and fast food. I enjoyed many mornings here, taking in the views and staying hydrated.

Lots of the island’s nightlife takes place in the main square on a stage. Piccolo Paradiso has a bird’s-eye view of all the goings-on. We have enjoyed concerts and even a marching band competition from the tables here.

Their food menu is simple and quite cheap for a lunch out. We enjoyed chicken wings and whitebait served with chips. They served this on a big plate, which was great for sharing.

Caffe Bar Zagazinjine

A bar I visited many times when on the island is Caffe Bar Zagazinjine. Caffe Bar Zagazinjine is near our preferred holiday accommodation and a nice place to spend time. They have a big terrace with lots of shade, which is great for sitting outside for drinks. They serve Croatian coffee and a range of local beers. I usually enjoy both after a sunrise walk in the morning.

They provide good service and, as a bonus, allow you to enjoy food from the bakery next door. What’s not to like about a savoury pastry and a cold beer for lunch? Periodically, they have something on in the evenings and are a good nightlife venue. We saw some live bands and also enjoyed watching the Football World Cup here. Overall, one of my favourite places to chill out while out shopping on the island.

Tematski Vidikovac Providenca Bar

If you enjoy a good hike and love views, then a fantastic bar is at Tematski Vidikovac Providenca. Tematski Vidikovac Providenca is a viewpoint that overlooks the island. They have a bar during the day, which is great for drinks. Tematski Vidikovac Providenca has various drink options, including Croatian beers.

Unfortunately, they are only open during peak season, so it’s worthwhile checking they are open first. During the evenings at sunset, you have to book a table and order food. I really enjoy walking here, and a beer with a view is special.

Café Bar Triton

If you like sea views, then Cafe Bar Triton on Riva in Mali Losinj is a great place. They have a terrace overlooking the harbour. Cafe Bar Triton has a good range of drinks, including local and German beers, including Erdinger. It’s a chilled place during the day. However, in the evenings it’s a different beast. After dark, they often have live music, which is pretty cool. We’ve enjoyed a few nights out here, which were fun.

Enigma Caffe Bar

If you fancy somewhere quiet and away from the tourist areas, then pop to Enigma caffe bar. Enigma caffe bar has inside and outside seating, and the owner is friendly.

They serve Croatian beer at good value prices. Enigma caffe bar is a short walk up the steps from the launderette; thus, I spent time here awaiting the laundry during our various stays in Mali Losinj.

Bellevue beach bar

We inadvertently visited the Bellevue beach bar in Cisak Bay for a beer and to sit on their loungers. It was a very pricey place but lovely to visit for one drink. We subsequently found out from the server that the beach area is for hotel guests only. The server found it hilarious that we’d circumvented their nonexistent security to keep the riffraff out. The hotel looked nice; however, it was well beyond my budget.

Bella Vista Bar

Another nice place for drinks on the harbourside is Bella Vista Bar. They have a nice terrace to watch the world go by and enjoy views of the boats. Bella Vista has various drink options, including soft drinks and Croatian beers. We have visited a few times, including to watch the live football during the World Cup. During the football, it was rammed full and had a great vibe.

Agrotourism

A wonderful place to visit on the island is Agrotourism, which is a garden overlooking Valdarke Bay. They also serve drinks, including fresh juice, wines, and beers. I’ve enjoyed a few relaxing beers here, enjoying the spectacular surroundings. They serve PAN, one of the less popular beers, but the unique seating here makes it well worth visiting.

Caffe Bar Sv. Martin

Another nice place for a beer or coffee is Caffe Bar Sv. Martin. This is on the north coast of the island, and a lovely place to walk to. The outside seating area overlooks the St Martin fishing harbour and is rather nice. They have a good range of beers, including local options. I often enjoy a drink here after swimming at one of the many beaches nearby.

Latino Beach

Near the sandy beach, with lots of shade from the trees, is Latino Beach. Latino Beach is a cool place to hang out and relax. They serve a variety of drinks, including beers, cocktails, and non-alcoholic beverages. They provide at-the-table service, and it’s a lovely place to wind down or rest after some water sports in the bay.
