Free ATMs & Those With Fees In Czech Republic & Prague

My guide to which banks offer free ATM cash withdrawals in the Czech Republic, including Prague & Brno. Sometimes it’s not possible to find free ATMs in certain towns, so I include details of cash withdrawal fees for the various ATMs.

Overall, I found some options for free ATM withdrawals with my Revolut card in the Czech Republic. This includes the major cities of Prague, Brno, Cesky Krumlov and Ceske Budejovice.

Is Cash Important in The Czech Republic

Despite what people online sometimes say, cash is still important in the Czech Republic. Many bars, restaurants, and shops I’ve visited only accept cash, so having some is pretty important. Also, when travelling by train, the onboard food and drink service is often cash-only.

Tried & Tested Free ATMs

Some tried-and-tested ATMs for free cash withdrawals in the Czech Republic.

Raiffeisen Bank – Bankomat

During my visits to the Czech Republic, I used the Raiffeisen Bank ATM multiple times to withdraw cash. Each time, the withdrawal was free at various of their ATMs. They are a popular bank and quite easy to find in most cities. They have a search form on their website to help you find the nearest.

KB – Komerční Banka

Another place that I found free ATM withdrawals in the Czech Republic was Komerční Banka. These were pretty common to find and had the KB logo clearly marked above them. Their website has a feature to find the nearest branch.

CSOB Free ATM

Another ATM that I found for free cash withdrawals from my Revolut account was CSOB. I found a few CSOB machines during my time in the Czech Republic. They have over 1000 ATMs, and you can find the nearest one on their website.

ATMS With Fees In the Czech Republic

While researching this post, I found that these places charged a fee for withdrawing cash when using my Revolut card.

Česká Spořitelna

I found there were many Česká Spořitelna ATMs during my visits to the country. When withdrawing Czech koruna, they charged 169 CZ for the privilege. They have a page to help you find branches and ATMs.

Hello ATM

Another place I tried to withdraw cash was from the Hello ATM. Hello, there were a few ATMs in the city, and I found they charged 98 CZK for the service. This was a bit cheaper than others that charge fees, but I aborted and went to a free ATM instead.
