Easter Markets In Vienna: Schönbrunn Palace and Am Hof
During our spring visit to Vienna, we took the opportunity to visit some of the city’s Easter markets. These were similar to the Christmas markets that we had enjoyed before but with an Easter twist.

We found two key places for these: the epic Schönbrunn Palace gardens and Am Hof, a pretty city-centre square. Both were similar and had many stalls selling drinks, chocolate, and cakes. They also had some great gifts, including painted eggs and some art.
Easter Markets We Visited in Vienna
Schönbrunn Palace

A big part of our spring trip to Vienna involved visiting Schönbrunn Palace and going inside. The Easter market was an added bonus, and it was great to browse the stalls and enjoy refreshments. This was free to enter and have a look around.

They had lots of nice decor, including a big archway, the Easter Bunny and a maze for visitors to enjoy. This was with the backdrop of the stunning palace.

They had many refreshment options here, including sweet snacks, bratwurst, and beer. We enjoyed a few drinks and a bratwurst lunch here while awaiting a visit inside the palace.

The stalls here were varied; however, our focus was on chocolate gifts to take home and some art for the house. There were loads of quality options, and I filled my daybag with Mozart chocolates and a few small paintings.

They are next due to take place between 25th March and 19th April. It takes place in the courtyard near the entrance and is open from 10 am until 7 pm daily.
Am Hof Easter Market

Am Hof Easter Market is in its namesake square in the centre of Vienna. Am Hof is surrounded by beautiful buildings, making it a great backdrop for the market. This was also free to enter for a look around the stalls.

There were lots of stalls here for Viennese street food, and we had some ham and bread. The market also had a few bars where you could enjoy a beer, with seating areas; these were busy in the evenings.

You can also buy local arts and crafts from stalls here, including seasonal pieces. Chocolates and cakes were also prominent, with an extensive selection.

The 2026 dates are from March 20th until April 6th. They are open until 8 pm each day. Location.
