Laundrettes In Romania: Laundry In Brasov, Constanta & Cluj

You can find laundrettes in many towns and cities across Romania. I’ve used self-service laundrettes in quite a few places while travelling in the country, as I usually only travel with one week’s worth of clothes.

This will be an ongoing post as I do laundry. So far, I’ve been to laundrettes in Braşov, Cluj-Napoca, Mamaia, and Constanța.

Some tried-and-tested places to do laundry in Romania.

Cluj-Napoca is pretty lacking in laundrette options; however, there is a nice one in the city centre, Washeria. You can do a load of washing for 14 lei and the same for a dry clean. You can pay by card or cash.

To keep things simple, their instructions are in Romanian or English and easy to follow. They have a pleasant seating area to wait for your wash, or you can also use the bars nearby.

Another good laundrette that I’ve used in Romania is Smart Laundry, in Brașov. It’s in the suburbs, a short walk from the AFI mall. They have both dryers and washing machines. Smart Laundry has someone on-site to pay rather than a machine. She is rather friendly and speaks good English.

A wash costs 30 lei, and 30 minutes in the dryer is 25 lei. I did a big load in the dryer, and it did the trick. The only downside is that there is no bar nearby. It’s a few minutes along the road. However, there is a Mega Image supermarket and seats inside.

Wash2Go Self-Service Laundry Constanta

While on holiday in Mamaia, we needed to get some clothes cleaned before heading to the Danube Delta. The nearest that looked good was Wash2Go in Constanta. This is a self-service place in the suburbs. To enter, you need an access code, which you can find on their Facebook profile on the door.

Inside, you need to convert cash into tokens for a wash. It was reasonably priced, and the washer and dryer performed well. They have a nice sofa to sit on while you wait. Unfortunately for me, there wasn’t a bar nearby, so I got a few cans of Romanian beer and an ice cream to enjoy while I waited.
